1. Our Role as a Platform
- Gayroom8 provides an online classifieds platform that enables Members to connect, communicate, and arrange housing directly with one another.
- Gayroom8 does not own, manage, control, or inspect any Listings and is not a landlord, broker, agent, or insurer. Gayroom8 does not participate in or oversee interactions, agreements, or transactions between Members.
- Gayroom8 may implement certain trust and safety measures; however, Gayroom8 does not guarantee the identity, background, conduct, or reliability of any Member or Listing.
2. Member Responsibility & Personal Safety
- All Members are solely responsible for their interactions with others, whether online or offline.
- You agree to independently verify Listings and user information, exercise caution when communicating with other Members, take appropriate safety precautions when meeting in person, and use your own judgment before entering into any agreement or arrangement.
- Gayroom8 encourages Members to prioritize personal safety at all times.
3. Prohibited Conduct
- Members may not engage in any of the following activities:
- (i) Fraud or Misrepresentation, including posting false or misleading Listings, impersonating another person or entity, or misrepresenting identity or property details;
- (ii) Harassment or Abuse, including threatening, abusive, or violent behavior, coercion, or exploitation;
- (iii) Discrimination, including unlawful discriminatory language or conduct in violation of applicable laws;
- (iv) Unsafe or Illegal Listings, including Listings that violate housing laws or promote unsafe or illegal arrangements.
- Gayroom8 reserves the right to remove content or take action against accounts that violate these standards.
4. Reporting & Enforcement
- Members may report suspicious Listings, unsafe behavior, harassment, fraud, or other violations through the Platform or by contacting support@gayroom8.com.
- Gayroom8 may, in its sole discretion, investigate reported activity and take action, including removing Listings, suspending or terminating accounts, restricting access to the Platform, or cooperating with law enforcement where appropriate.
- Gayroom8 is not obligated to take any specific action but may do so where deemed necessary to protect the Platform and its users.
5. Safety Recommendations
- Gayroom8 encourages Members to take reasonable precautions, including meeting in public places before committing to any arrangement, verifying identity, avoiding sending money without verification, and not sharing sensitive personal or financial information prematurely.
- These recommendations are provided for guidance only and do not eliminate risks.
6. No Guarantee of Safety
- While Gayroom8 strives to promote a safe and respectful environment, Gayroom8 does not guarantee the safety of any interaction, Listing, or Member.
- By using the Platform, you acknowledge that interactions may involve risk and that Gayroom8 is not responsible for the conduct of Members. You assume full responsibility for your decisions and actions.
7. Cooperation with Authorities
- Gayroom8 may cooperate with law enforcement, regulatory authorities, or legal requests where required by law or where necessary to investigate fraud or illegal activity, protect users, or enforce applicable laws.
8. Relationship to Other Policies
- This Trust & Safety Policy forms part of your agreement with Gayroom8 and should be read alongside the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Fair Housing & Non-Discrimination Policy, and Community Guidelines.
- In the event of any conflict, the Terms of Use will control.
